The Bernice James Foundation is a registered foundation in Canada that was established to support underprivileged children around the world. Through various fundraising activities, it has generated a trust fund and placed these funds into investment opportunities with monthly returns. The interest generated from these investments is used to support families and children on an on-going basis. The trust fund is therefore never depleted and provides a legacy to continue making a difference in peoples lives around the world.

We are presently providing financial support to the Save A Family Plan. In the beginning of 2006 we have sponsored 15 families in India, for a total of 64 people.

The monthly income for each family is $20-$40 which is way below the poverty level. Many of their homes do not have safe drinking water or sanitation facilities. We have made a 6-year commitment to provide monthly financial support. This will help these families to get re-established and learn new skills to support their families in the upcoming years.
